We are a family with a young kid who would like to spend more time on the water but are time constrained and can't justify the expense of purchasing and operating a yacht on our own. Looking to set up three way or 4 way equal partnership and purchase a boat or buy into one in or near Vancouver BC. We are interested in sailing together with partners or on our own. Both are Day Skipper certified and have years of experience sailing but less extensive on big boats. We would consider anything in 35-42 ft range that is not too stripped down but also has good sailing performance to actually enjoy sailing. Beneteau 40.7 first come to mind or similar boats from ~2000.

We have a 1978 Catalina 27 and we've improved it significantly since we bought it a few years ago. It's in great condition, has a new motor, bimini, toilet, and more. There's a genoa, jib, and main (no spinnaker). We live very close to the boat, and we'd like to share it with someone who can sail it several times a month (optimally). We can sail together, as well, and there will be days we'd like to sail, but we are very easygoing about partnerships and sharing. The boat handles well, sails comfortably, and is a lot of fun. We have a GPS, radio, depthfinder, and stereo as well as a charging station, galley, and more. We'd prefer someone with sailing experience, and we would be glad to give you some training, as well.
