This covers boat, moorage, insurance, electricity.

We have a 1978 Catalina 27 and we've improved it significantly since we bought it a few years ago. It's in great condition, has a new motor, bimini, toilet, and more. There's a genoa, jib, and main (no spinnaker). We live very close to the boat, and we'd like to share it with someone who can sail it several times a month (optimally). We can sail together, as well, and there will be days we'd like to sail, but we are very easygoing about partnerships and sharing.

The boat handles well, sails comfortably, and is a lot of fun. We have a GPS, radio, depthfinder, and stereo as well as a charging station, galley, and more.

We'd prefer someone with sailing experience, and we would be glad to give you some training, as well.

We handle insurance and boat moorage. You would pay us a fee for the partnership.

Description: I have a 1978 Catalina 27 I am interested in sharing. We have done much to update and keep this boat ship-shape, including adding a new toilet, engine, reinforced keel, bimini, Genoa, and other items. We live close to the marina, and we normally get in a day or two of sailing monthly (more often in the nice months, but some in the winter). Catalinas are great, fun, solid, and easy boats to sail. The boat is moored at the Des Moines Marina. We would enjoy having a partner to share with the boat and keep it sailing more often. If you're a relatively inexperienced sailor, we can help teach you more. That said, we would prefer someone with sailing experience.
